We have enjoyed working with New Beacon School to research and update the brand and refresh their imagery and core propositions.
New Beacon are a boys prep school with an excellent academic and sports reputation. Despite a strong structure for pastoral support, the school was perceived by some as being very results driven. The brief required Oyster to conduct research into current brand perceptions, to explore the school's full offering and to shape the brand to truly reflect the school's character and ethos. Core to this was the development of core propositions and messages that reflect the brand.
Oyster ran a series of separate focus groups with staff, parents and prospective parents. We also ran interviews with key stakeholders. As part of the process we shaped messages and imagery to begin building a mood board around which the brand could be developed. Full brand research findings were presented in a clear document and we began the process of developing design and message styles. We shaped the brand to include signage, livery, clothing, and marketing communications.
